This policy, which is subject to change, applies to remote data access. This policy does not apply to local data access.
Summary:
All Nearcast data (quality-controlled observations, augmentation with additional network data, metadata & proprietary forecasts) is available to station owners from stations that they own (public or private) via any application for personal use only. No Nearcast data (observations, forecast or metadata) is available from private stations via any application. Metadata from public stations is available with a TempestONE subscription. Observation and forecast data from public stations is available via a TempestONE subscription.

Personal Use
Use of Nearcast data & forecasts by individual station owners for non-commercial purposes is available without special agreement and includes:
- access to metadata, observation & forecast data by owner of station
- access to public metadata from all public stations by any user
- rate/volume limits (enough for personal use)
- limited to personal use
- any rebroadcasting of data must credit "WeatherFlow" or "Tempest"
- any rebroadcasting must provide a link back to a WeatherFlow-Tempest URL or social media channel (as appropriate and if technically possible)
- rebroadcast may be limited

Commercial Use
Use of Nearcast data & forecasts by individuals, groups, organizations, businesses, academics, etc. for any non-personal purposes requires a WeatherFlowONE subscription or specific commercial agreement and includes:
- access to metadata, observation & forecast data by owner of station
- access to public metadata from all public stations by any user
- may include access to Nearcast data & forecasts with commercial agreement
- may include higher rate/volume limits, if necessary
- authorization to use Nearcast data in a commercial manner under terms specified in commercial agreement
- rebroadcast only according to terms specified in commcercial agreement
